Spring Into Reading Is Fun Event was held the week of May 18, 2026

 

We provided tote bags with t-shirts and 5 books to approximately 770 1st Grade students in 50 classrooms in all 11 Elementary schools. 30 classrooms were regular Ed classes where volunteers went into the classrooms read a book to the class and every student received a tote bag. In addition, we distributed tote bags to 20 self-contained special Ed classes that had any first graders in them. All students in those classes got the tote bags regardless of grade level. We did not go into those classrooms to read to the class.
